21st Century Citizen-leaders
The need for reasoned, thoughtful, and conscientious citizenship has never been greater. One World has created two types of citizenship class, one that has been designed to address achieve the world of abundance in available to us and the other designed to help your students become good citizens of your local community connecting with local leaders. Both classes use design thinking and social entrepreneurship to help students design good citizen solutions that many schools use to help their students design capstone projects.

Citizen Leaders Global – Architects of Abundance
The end goal of this class is to encourage the development of citizen-leaders of character knowledgeable of the world around them, and capable of changing it for the better. As students will have learned from our Key Concepts for the 21st Century class, the potential for a world of abundance is here if, if, if…we can only learn to get along together and address the major civilizational challenges facing humanity – nuclear war, artificial intelligence and climate change. This class shows students how to use design thinking and social entrepreneurship to address one of the three civilizational challenges facing humanity in their local community.
Citizen Leaders Local
Connecting Your Students to Local Leaders
The end goal of this class is to encourage the development of citizen-leaders of character knowledgeable of their local community and capable of changing it for the better.
In this class students will connect with local elected and public leaders from their local municipality with a view to using design thinking and social entrepreneurship/PBL to address one of the challenges faced in their local community.
Both classes will use these capstone projects to think outside the box on a number of issues as well as use and practice the four domains of good citizenship as is described in more detail here:
